EXPLORE CHINATOWN WITH ME
Go beyond the gate with your expert guide on our Chinatown Experience Tour. We'll taste BBQ pork, mooncakes, bubble tea; and learn the fables associated with various treats. Understand yin and yang and its expression in everything from food to architecture to medicine as we visit a traditional Chinese herbalist's shop. Explore the abundant fruits and vegetables in the grocery store, peek in on the live fish and get expert tips on ingredients and techniques to make your stir-fries sing. To complete our tour, we'll enjoy dumplings and more at dim sum as the steam carts roll by. Travel to a new destination, even if you already live here.

Tours include culture, history, food tastings, a visit to an herbalist's shop, a Chinese grocery, and tours end with dim sum. We may tailor this somewhat for private parties. If you have special requests, please let me know and we'll see what we can do!

All tastings, taxes, and dim sum are included. You will receive a guide to Chinatown- yours to keep! Includes info on the shops we visit, maps, and suggestions for other shops and restaurants to visit on your future adventures.

As a food allergy trainer and consultant, I'm very aware of these issues. Please let me know if you have dietary preferences or allergies and we will do our best to accommodate them. I have had very happy vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and food-allergic customers. As well, if someone in your group does not eat pork or shellfish please let me know and we can accommodate.

Your tour will last a little over 3 hours and we’ll sit down together for dim sum after. Sometimes I'll add a stop or two for special treats when they're available.

I am keeping groups smallish at this time (about 6 or so maximum) as many prefer smaller private tours now and it's safer for all. Please let me know if you prefer a private tour or a tour with others and I'll try to accommodate your date preferences.

I am fully vaccinated and, also have gotten all three booster shots. I expect my guests will also be fully vaccinated.
We will wear masks at our discretion when outside but will mask up to protect our shop owners and workers when we enter inside the businesses. This situation is fluid, but for now, I will err on the side of protecting my neighbors.
